Bechtel Infrastructure is seeking a Planner / Scheduler to support renewable and transmission line studies and projects in the Melbourne area.

About the Role:

As Planner / Scheduler, you will liaise with project team to develop and maintain competitive achievable control schedules for the project.

You will provide supervision and assistance to planners in the development and integration of individual schedules into the total project plan, reviewing the performing organization’s and unit’s work logics, and determine whether the schedules will adequately support the overall project schedule.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake reviews of key schedule inputs including contractor schedules and basis of schedule documentation to test for completeness and provide commentary on the quality of deliverables provided.
  • Identify areas of schedule impact including areas of schedule opportunity and schedule potential delays and communicate these finding and potential solutions to the wider project team and management as required.
  • Review design scope criteria and quantities for completeness and reasonableness, and coordinates with the project to develop additional estimating bases when information is incomplete.
  • Perform and/or coordinate, collect, verify, and integrate the work scope for all entities into the total project plan.
  • Establish milestones for the total project or major portions of the project. Review project work activities to ensure support of project milestones. Coordinate the timely, systematic, and complete acquisition of scope definition and related data.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

What You Bring:

  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions.
  • Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications. Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications currently used in Bechtel including Primavera and Microsoft Office Applications including (word, excel, power BI etc).
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
