Description

Apex Group seeks an experienced Systems Accountant to join our inclusive and thriving team in Brisbane.

As a Systems Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing the systems that the Finance Department rely upon to carry out its functions. You will also design, implement and train users for systems that assist with the timely and accurate preparation of financial and management accounts, statutory returns and other financial reporting for superannuation fund clients.

Job responsibilities are:
  • Assist with testing all new system development
  • Develop Excel-based solutions for reconciliation and other accounting functions
  • Assist with technically complex accounting support issues as assigned and as time permits
  • Maintain a knowledge of APRA reporting requirements, especially the upcoming releases of new forms
  • Assist in the co-ordination of the year-end and interim audits and internal reviews.

To apply for this Systems Accountant role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or IT, with exposure to funds for superannuation
  • Knowledge on the following systems:
    • Solvexia
    • Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
    • Excel
    • Acurity
  • Experience working with IT or with financial services departments.
