We require a weekend Sous Chef to join us in beautiful Kamesburgh Gardens in Brighton for this career progression opportunity

The Position

  • Assist and oversee food production and menu-based catering for 40 residents in this modern aged care facility. 
  • Ensuring all OH&S compliance is achieved, adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures
  • Ensure all catering controls are in place and wastage is kept to the minimum
  • Lead, mentor and create a positive work culture
  • Assist with rostering, ordering, stock control and other administrative duties related to a senior chef posit

The Person

  • Cert III in Commercial Cookery 
  • Experience with cooking healthy and nutritious food in bulk quantities
  • Experience in HACCP, food safety and infection control 
  • Aged care experience preferred / good understanding of IDDSI and the preparation of texture modified meals 
  • Must be be able to work autonomously
  • Saturday and Sunday shifts 7.00am - 3.00pm
