About the role
We are looking for a Veterinary Graduate & Intern Coordinator to join us on a temporary basis for a 12-month contract. The Veterinary Graduate & Intern Coordinator will play a key role in designing, developing and delivering effective learning and development programs for general practice veterinary graduates and speciality and emergency veterinary interns. You will collaborate as part of a central team of learning and development professionals that will source, design, develop, facilitate and manage the graduate and intern learning and development curriculums.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
The Veterinary Graduate and Intern Coordinator responsibilities include the following:
- Develop and implement a communication framework for newly employed veterinary graduates and interns to provide them with key day 1 information and welcome them to the organisation prior to starting.
- Collaborate with team leaders, and the learning and development team to support veterinary graduates and interns, while ensuring they meet business goals.
- Develop and co-ordinate the running of veterinary graduate and intern programs, such as the face to face induction week, workshops, modular online courses and other components of the programs.
- Provide day to day support and touch points for veterinary graduates, interns and team leaders.
- Ensure veterinary graduates and interns are progressing as expected through the components of the graduate and intern programs, as well as within their clinics or hospitals.
- Provide reporting on progress, touch points and support metrics.
- Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document learning and development programs
- Maintain records of training programs and attendance and provide meaningful information to the business
- Plan and manage budgets for program development
- Monitor effectiveness of learning and development activities and ensures content is updated & tools are created for ongoing resources
- Manage equipment for all workshops across Vet Services, from ordering, shipping and stocktake.
Perform other duties as required in support of the learning and development function
Qualifications
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Formal qualifications/certification of:
- Group facilitation
- 5 years’ experience in clinics and hospitals
- Assessment, recording and administration
- Clinical Excellence
- Strong relationship skills
- Strong communicator both written and verbal
- Superior service relationship skills
- Results driven and tenacious, able to work under pressure with multiple priorities
- Strong task focus and need for structure, creative, innovative with a practical orientation and an ability to get things done
- Flexible and highly energetic, passionate and keen interest in self-development
- A team player and very open to learn and share with high regard for confidentiality
- Bias for action and excellence in execution
