About the Role:
Milestone IT is currently recruiting for an experienced EMR Trainer to join our client in the healthcare sector. This contract role is ideal for a skilled trainer with hands-on experience in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically within a hospital or clinical environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions to hospital staff on the use and best practices of EMR systems, ensuring seamless system adoption and optimal usage across departments.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, with a commitment to working five days per week. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic healthcare team and help improve the clinical workflow through effective EMR training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions for hospital staff (doctors, nurses, administrative personnel, etc.) on how to use EMR systems effectively.
- Develop and customize training materials to suit different user levels and roles.
- Provide hands-on demonstrations, troubleshooting, and on-the-spot support to users during training sessions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with IT and clinical staff to identify training needs and assist with the smooth implementation of EMR systems.
- Assist in system testing and feedback gathering to ensure the EMR system meets the hospital’s requirements.
- Offer one-on-one support and guidance as required for staff members post-training.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience training hospital staff on EMR systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic, Meditech, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and how they integrate with EMR systems.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple training sessions in a busy hospital environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience with change management and user adoption strategies is a plus.
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
