About The Role:

Are you ready to take your legal career to new heights? Compare the Market is on the lookout for a dynamic In-House Paralegal to join our passionate Legal and Compliance team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in supporting our legal team and assisting staff in delivering exceptional services to our clients. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of Compare the Market through timely and effective paralegal support.

You will be an essential player in our legal operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes within the team. Your responsibilities will encompass providing legal research, preparing documents, managing case files, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with our lawyers to facilitate contract reviews, assist in legal proceedings, and support the day-to-day legal functions of the company.

What You’ll Do:

Reporting to the Head of Legal and working under the guidance of senior staff, you'll work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to complete tasks efficiently. You'll have regular opportunities to check in with stakeholders and senior staff, and we encourage you to proactively seek guidance and support whenever needed. Other duties will include:

• Provide essential legal and administrative assistance to ensure our Legal division operates smoothly and efficiently.
• Dive into legal issues to uncover insights and support innovative legal advice.
• Help our team navigate the complexities of litigation and legislative reform, ensuring we meet government objectives and deadlines.
• Keep your legal knowledge sharp and current, especially in the areas relevant to our practice.
• Work closely with a diverse team, promoting consistency and sharing expertise to drive our collective success.
• Take on various tasks and duties as directed, contributing to our dynamic and evolving work environment.

What You’ll Bring:

• Relevant Tertiary Qualifications.
• Experience in a similar or relevant role.
• The following experiences would be highly regarded but are not essential:
• experience working within regulated industries aligning to Compare the Market’s service offering.
• experience working with an in-house commercial or legal team.
• experience using Archer GRC or Salesforce.
