About the team

Central Operations is the engine room of our supermarket business. Our team cares for, supports, and empowers our retail teams across the country. We help them be at their best, so they can deliver the best experiences for our customers every day.


About the role 

Lead a team of Project Managers in making the lives of our store teams easier.
Oversee and deliver large scale operational and technical projects that increases efficiency and implement “forward thinking” ways of operating. 

You will also:

  • Define, plan and oversee the execution of projects and programs that deliver sustainable outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of strategies and setting strategic priorities
  • Provide advice to steering committees and ensure appropriate reporting, governance and control functions are upheld
  • Manage stakeholder communications and oversee engagement initiatives
  • Create and monitor detailed project metrics and reporting


About you and your skills 

You will have:

  • Experience leading a diverse team of high-performing professionals
  • Extensive experience delivering large scale projects (in a retail and/or operations environment will be considered favourably) 
  • An understanding of store operations, merchandise functions and inventory would be highly beneficial
  • A successful track record of identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Strong experience with varied stakeholder groups
  • The ability to interpret and use data to provide recommendations and create presentations
  • A level of comfort and expertise with change management
