About the Role

Chief Radiographer Level 5 Facility – (RAD 6.5)

This 12 Month Secondment opportunity will see you providing strong leadership of the day to day operations and management of our technical department within the Greenslopes Private Hospital practice. 

To succeed, you will be a great team player and have exceptional communication and time management skills. Strong decision making, planning and conflict resolution skills are also essential in this role.

The Chief Radiographer will be responsible for the operational delivery of medical imaging services under the direction of the Managing Radiologist and in accordance with the Queensland X-ray operational requirements.

• Provide managerial leadership of the Medical Imaging team delivering services in accordance with the relevant prescribed professional and ethical standards and the established practice and company-wide protocols and policies
• Provide guidance to the operations team for the purpose of workforce planning and capability strategies to achieve enhancement and efficiency in service delivery
• Provide managerial leadership of the practice under the direction of the operations team
• Lead the development of service improvement initiatives to ensure the provision of high quality Medical Imaging services
• Deliver advanced level medical imaging clinical services
• Apply expertise to solve clinical service or workflow problems
• Collaborate with practice leaders across QXR to ensure effective service delivery and enhance quality outcomes

About You

• Demonstrated experience leading a team within the radiology industry is preferred
• Extensive experience in general X-Ray and CT
• Full AHPRA registration and QLD Radiation Use Licence is required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including patients, staff and referrers
• Ongoing commitment to skill development also encompassing personal and professional growth, for yourself and the team
• Passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience, and coaching those around you to do the same
