About the role
A clinical leader with expert level clinical skills responsible for the operational delivery of CT services across multiple regional sites in accordance with operational requirements. This position is available as a 12 Month secondment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Clinical Practice

• Deliver high level medical imaging services across multiple modalities within a multidisciplinary
• team in accordance with
  • prescribed professional and ethical standards
  • the established practice and company-wide clinical protocols and policies
  • the rostering and service delivery requirements of the practice
• Utilise expert clinical knowledge and skills to deliver a specialist level of service within the relevant modality
• Maintain an expert level of clinical knowledge and skills through extensive professional development, postgraduate education or formal qualifications
• Demonstrate and promote by example, a high level of patient care, compassion and clinical awareness
• Demonstrate a high level of responsibility, accountability and initiative across all aspects of clinical practice and promote a culture of service excellence
• Within the modality, provide operational management and appropriate resource allocation to ensure efficient service delivery

Communication/Team Participation

• Provide expert level clinical advice and direction to patients, other health care professionals and clinicians regarding service delivery within your modality
• Provide authoritative counsel, in matters relating to site specific service delivery for the modality to the Chief Radiographer and Managing Radiologist
• Provide specialist level clinical advice to the relevant Modality Operations Manager to assist in the development of company-wide standards and protocols
• Communicate with managing radiologist with regards to site specific service delivery  

Leadership and Operational Management

• Be responsible for training and education, development and performance appraisal of staff within your modality
• Build advanced skills and promote specialist capability in other technical staff through mentorship and the provision of expert level clinical advice within your modality
• Actively lead the initiation, development and implementation of service improvements activities that will enhance service delivery
• Lead change management processes through collaborative development of your modality with guidance from the Chief Radiographer and/or the relevant Modality Operations Manager
• Provide clinical practice supervision, training and guidance to students and less experienced practitioners
• Promote clinical leadership development through clear encouragement and guidance

Safety and Quality

• Apply to clinical practice, the standards set by the mandatory Queensland X-ray quality and safety training modules and policies
• Promote, by example, responsibility and accountability for a clean and safe work environment
• Liase with equipment suppliers regarding troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance for your modality
• Liase with vendors regarding site specific training requirements and opportunities under the oversight of the Modality Services Manager
• Assume accountability for all aspects of modality specific safety as appropriate
• Maintain current, expert level knowledge of modality specific safety through training and education
