Security Training Officer

Responsibilities :
Delivers and/or coordinates campus security training that includes but is not limited to CPR, First Aid, Class D and G State certifications. Monitors and maintains the training and certification records of all campus security officers; ensures all campus security officers continuously meet established training and certification requirements. Enforces University security policies for students, employees, outside vendors, and visitors. Respond to all emergencies, coordinate law enforcement, medical and/or fire assistance, provide a proactive role after the emergency has concluded, and make appropriate notifications on campus as directed. Prepare schedules for conducting in-service training for security personnel. Conduct and/or coordinate safety training for the campus community on all aspects of personal safety. Work special events to provide traffic, parking, and crowd control as needed. Related projects and initiatives. May be required to work during emergency situations, work designated alternate hours and perform other responsibilities as needed.Degree type and GPA :
High school Diploma or GED. Additional certifications, licensing, degrees and/or training in law enforcement, security, or related field is preferred.Licensure/Certifications :
State of Florida, Class D: Security Officer License State of Florida, Class G: Armed Security Officer License State of Florida, Class K: Firearms Instructor License within 90 days of hire Previous Instructor training experience State of Florida driver's license and maintain a good driving record as defined per Florida Tech's insurance guidelines.Requirements:
Additional certifications, licensing, degrees, and/or training in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred. 2-5 years of experience required in area of expertise. Ability to provide informed and accurate training to security professionals and community members. Ability to conduct themselves professionally and use excellent acumen with university faculty, staff, students, dignitaries, and a much-cultured community.Experience/Skill Sets :
