We are seeking a proficient Firewall Administrator to join our government client for a 10-month contract, with high potential for extension. To be successful in this role you must have an in-depth understanding and strong hands-on experience in network protocols, configurating, maintaining Firewalls, Checkpoint, Juniper routers, Citrix Systems, Palo Alto and several other network equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, main, Checkpoint, Juniper Routers, firewalls, and other network equipment.
- Perform assessments, audits, and identify network security flaws and vulnerabilities and be able to consult on solutions within best practices.
- Monitor and analyse network performance to ensure that system availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with members of various teams and departments to achieve security and performance requirements.
- Provide 24 x 7 coverage on First and 2nd level support as required by being on call.

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years industry experience in firewall administration or network security configuration and maintenance of Checkpoint, Juniper routers, Citrix systems and Palo Alto networks.
- Certified information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Juniper Networks certifications, such as JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIP, are advantageous.
- Checkpoint Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and IPsec.
