As Royal Freemasons continues to make a positive difference to the lives of older people across Victoria, the organisation seeks to appoint a dynamic and customer-oriented leader to join the organisation as an Accounts Receivable Officer.

The role

The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing and reporting of all accounts receivable and ensuring payments are received and correctly recorded.

Key responsibilities

The Accounts Receivable Officer will be required to deliver a high standard of work, possess a strong attention to detail, and have the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks in a dynamic working environment.

Your main duties will include:

  • Actively managing debtors, with a focus on the reduction of outstanding debts and including managing account enquires
  • Accurate and timely processing of client accounts, including billing of fees and charges, receipting, direct debits administration, reconciliations and the production of statements.
  • Reconciling discharged client’s account, refund RAD/debtor balance, produce discharge letters, and maintain the Bond Register up to date
  • Preparation of customer exit/discharge calculation & courtesy letters (Residential and ILU)
  • Close monitoring of receivables reports to minimise overdue accounts and proactively following up collections.

Knowledge and experience

  • 2 -3 years recent experience in the administration of Accounts Receivable end to end
  • Experience within the home care, disability or aged care services or health care sectors is highly desirable
  • High level attention to detail, friendly and professional phone manner, and strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel), including intermediate excel skills (as a minimum)
  • Strong communication skills to maintain positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and to prioritise conflicting tasks through effective time management
