POSITION OVERVIEW

The role of the Business Development Manager (SYNC), Hickory’s esteemed bathroom pod manufacturing business, is integral to the company’s overarching success and market leadership. Charged with driving strategic growth and fostering lucrative partnerships, the Business Development Manager (SYNC) plays a pivotal role in propelling SYNC to new heights within the dynamic construction industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients in the bathroom pod and associated sectors.

  • Analyse competitor activities and market dynamics to develop effective business strategies.

Lead Generation and Conversion 

  • Proactively identify and cultivate new business leads through networking, industry events, and other strategic channels.

  • Leverage existing networks to cultivate new business opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential projects and clients.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to convert leads into successful business partnerships.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients and other stakeholders in the industry.

  • Understand client needs and collaborate with the project team to tailor solutions that exceed expectations.

  • Able to influence client aspirations to align with SYNC production operations and logistics capabilities.

Proposal Development

  • Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations tailored to potential clients.

  • Work closely with the estimating and project management teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids.

Contract Negotiation

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.

  • Collaborate with legal and senior management to finalize and execute contracts.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.

  • Identify and peruse new market segments and expansion opportunities.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, progress, and key performance indicators.

  • Analyze the success and efficiency of various strategies and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Design, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated success in driving business development initiatives within the commercial construction industry.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, plumbing, and hydraulics.
  • Capable of acquiring a profound knowledge of SYNC’s production operations and capabilities.
  • Exhibit commercial and risk acumen in decision-making processes.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adept at excelling in a dynamic work environment.
