About Us :

Talk It Up Speech Pathology is a locally owned and operated provider of quality speech pathology services. The business manager and owner is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with 27 years-experience, and employs an experienced team of 4 clinicians and full-time administration support staff. Talk It Up Speech Pathology provides assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders predominantly for children, but also for some adults. We are a registered provider for Private Health Insurance groups, Medicare, Department of Veteran's Affairs and the NDIS. We provide a clinic to assist families through the process of Autism assessment, including administering the ADOS-2. You have the opportunity to be involved in this clinic, and to develop your skills in your areas of interest. We pride ourselves on a high level of integrity and work in an ethical manner to meet the needs of our clients.

About You :

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent
  • Member of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Working With Children Check
  • Police Check

Position Summary :

As the Speech Pathologist you are responsible for providing speech and language therapy, assessment and consultation.

Job Responsibility :

  • Provide speech and language consultation and oversight of programs, to both therapist team and to clients
  • Provide speech and language therapy to clients within the program models.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy, train and support clients to run goals and interventions
  • Administer speech and language assessments, develop and implement therapy plans for any speech and language referrals
  • Monitor, evaluate and review progress and therapy plans
  • Undertake appropriate professional development, including self-reflection
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic therapy programs 
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • A commitment to meeting client and organisational expectations
  • Adopt and embrace company values and philosophy
  • Ensure the environment is kept in a safe and hygienic state at all times
  • Commitment to work as an effective team member
  • Promote the company and it’s interests to the local and wider community
  • Ensure all communication is completed in a professional and polite manner, to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertake regular mentoring sessions with a more senior clinician
