About the Role

The Production Coordinator is responsible for setting daily priorities for operations and coordinates execution of team activities to achieve plant targets and scheduled compliance. This is a permanent full-time position working a 4on/3off roster based at Atlas, reporting to the Production and Maintenance Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with Operations (Supervisors) and Maintenance (Coordinator, Planner, Supervisor) to optimise the efficiency of maintenance shuts. 
  • Providing input into 5-weekly schedule and shutdown planning process and assisting with budgets.
  • Assessing and providing input to attain continuous improvement of daily/weekly/monthly schedules. 
  • Develop detailed Area/Plant based production forecasts.  
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimise operating costs, and effect greater utilisation of labour and materials. 
  • Lead, participate, audit and improve meetings, as required by the OE&R process.  
  • Development of task instructions and risk assessments as needed.  
  • Coordination of shut tasks during execution.  
  • Set targets for shifts and develop analysis tools to drive improvement.

  • Advanced understanding of production priorities and maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to manage coordination of tasks between departments.
  • High accuracy of work and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Clear demonstration of following Tronox Values.
