Role Overview:

Reporting to the Finance Manager - Management Accounting and Reporting, this role will support in providing accurate and insightful financial information to key stakeholders to support strategic decision making.  The role is also responsible for supporting ASC’s corporate internal financial reporting function, financial analysis and modelling.  The Management Accountant will need to understand the requirements of users of financial information and strive for best practice.

Responsibilities:

Drive the production of monthly management reports including the preparation of financial data for the Board, Executive Reporting, and other stakeholders as necessary.

Leverage knowledge of existing finance team members to assist with the regular cadence of reporting and financial analysis with the business services Analyse, understand and ensure general ledger and overhead costings are aligned with the direct project costs throughout the year.

Continuously review and enhance financial processes controls to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

Support the review of overhead expenditure across the company with the aim of ensuring all stakeholders have reliable information on which to base strategic decisions.

Analyse and understand relationship between general ledger and project costings to ensure alignment with direct project costs (DPCs) throughout the year.

Prepare accurate, timely and useful overhead financial reports, tailored to end user requirements.

Assist Project Accounting team and Manager, Management Accounting & Reporting with the Annual True-Up process to ensure customer receives relevant and accurate information.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have experience within commerce or industry, ideally in the heavy industries, project or manufacturing sector.   

You’ll hold CA or CPA qualifications or will be studying towards full membership.

Strong financial modelling skills and experience. 

You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask and build strong and effective working relationships.

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.  To check your eligibility please visit the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website.
