The Opportunity
At APA, our purpose is simple: to strengthen communities through responsible energy.
We have a Fabrication (Welding) Apprenticeship available for someone within our local community of Eagle Farm, on a full-time permanent basis.
Your apprenticeship will consist of 2-4 years of both onsite work experience and formal classroom training. You will be an integral part of the team, learning from our highly skilled tradespeople. This position will give you a nationally recognised trade qualification Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication. After completion, you will be a qualified technician in your trade. APA will cover and provide all your:
TAFE fees
Tools and equipment
Expenses for work travel
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Clothing
This is a great entry into the Australia’s Energy future.
As an APA Apprentice you will:
Learn how to weld from our Fabrication Specialists
Primarily work from our onsite Workshop with regular travel between Ipswich and Caboolture
Develop your understanding of Industrial, Commercial and Residential fabrication requirements
Prioritise the safety of yourself, your team and the environment
To be eligible to apply for our Apprenticeship program, you will be:
Available to commence your career with APA in January 2025
Ready to ask questions, work hard, listen and learn from your mistakes
Enjoy working outdoors and getting your hands dirty
Able to listen carefully, follow directions in the interest of safety for yourself, the team, assets, and environment
A year 12 school leaver or a mature applicant
Able to work in confined spaces / at heights
Licensed to drive a motor vehicle
Self-motivated
A good communicator
Enthusiastic and dedicated to learning and developing your skills
