Are you a seasoned financial accountant with a passion for retail?

Spotlight Retail Group, Australia’s leading specialty retailer, is seeking a dynamic Senior Financial Accountant to join our high-performing finance team.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for

internal and external stakeholders with in-depth technical understanding combined with demonstrated commercial awareness

What you'll do

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the external audit process Managing financial reporting and compliance for our international operations Preparation of IFRS 16 lease accounting calculations Support the month end financial close process, including preparing journals and performing reconciliations Driving process improvements and system enhancements Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results

What you'll bring

Must be CA qualified with at least 5+ years of relevant experience Ideally with a Big-4 or Mid-Tier Audit environment background Strong financial accounting knowledge, including month-end close and AASP16 Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software ( SAP preferred) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for retail
