About us

Situated on Elizabeth Pier with waterfront seating on both sides, the company offers a relaxed and engaging setting for all your function needs. We cater for everything from sit down dinners for parties, work groups, corporate events and more through to semi standing cocktail parties with live acoustic music and dancing, business meetings and awards. We are a refreshed, newly refurbished, iconic venue in arguably Hobart’s best location. The spaces boast vast waterfront views in a heritage building and can cater for events of up to 250+.

Now we are looking for a Conference and Events Organiser to join us

Duties:

  • Determine the scheme and content of the conference and event according to customer’s needs, formulate the event proposal and arrange the detailed schedule.
  • Assist relevant individuals in determining event participants, verify their identities, qualifications and willingness to participate.
  • Responsible for manage the budget, reserve meals, souvenirs and transportation for conference and events, ensure all event resources are fully prepared within budget.
  • Implement various arrangements and plans for the conference and event, organize pre-event tasks such as preparing event materials, managing registrations and handling client reception to ensure the smooth running of the event.
  • Monitor the whole progress of the event, and resolve any issues that may rise during the event.
  • Report event evaluation and debrief to conclude the inadequacies and deficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Minimum 3 year’s relevant working experience
  • Highly developed organisational/planning skills and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail
