The opportunity

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for multiple Co-Design & Engagement Officer’s to join the team.

12-month initial Labour Hire contracts with the opportunity to extend.

Positions available are at both APS5 & APS6 level role offering $55.24 hourly – $60.26 hourly + Superannuation.

To be based out of Richmond or Geelong, this is a hybrid position offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. 37.5-hour work weeks.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating critical data analysis and feedback to measure effectiveness of activities and strategies, including identifying associated risks and trends.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and monitoring of targeted engagement strategies and align to the broader engagement strategy and frameworks, with branch and divisional business plans.
  • Building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the NDIA’s participation in a diverse range of engagement activities and events, including stakeholder meetings, information sessions, forums, conferences and webinars.
  • Contributing to the implementation and operationalisation of a targeted, proactive engagement strategy, including a forward planned events calendar, aligned to the corporate plan, broader Engagement Strategy and with branch and divisional business plans.

About you

  • Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position
  • APS6 level candidates will need team leadership experience
  • Ability to influence effective community engagement program design and delivery by researching and identifying the specific issues, needs and interests of target audiences through timely and relevant consultation mechanisms.
  • Monitor and evaluate stakeholder engagement and communications projects providing ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Assist with the implementation and delivery of stakeholder engagement, including meeting programmes, responding to relevant stakeholder enquiries, and stakeholder mapping.
  • Understanding the IAP2 engagement spectrum in the human services context
  • Presentation to a small group of stakeholders on a regular basis is a skill we should also look for.
  • Project Management skills/experience and understanding of accessibility.
