Manager, Delivery Solutions Architects

Reporting to the VP, Field Engineering for all of APJ, you will be responsible for building and leading a team of Delivery Solutions Architects. DSA’s lead the post-sales technical strategy for our largest Enterprise customers in ANZ, with a focus on ensuring use cases go into production as quickly and smoothly as possible. This requires resource orchestration skills and a solid understanding of Databricks technology and the broader Data+AI ecosystem.
As a DSA Manager, you will shape and monitor the post-sales execution strategy for customers in ANZ, in close collaboration with our sales, pre-sales, partner, and professional services teams. You will make investment decisions in collaboration with the Sales and Pre-sales SA Managers for your region. You will help shape and adjust the value proposition of the DSA role for your region and promote it in front of Sales teams and customers.
You will be a technical sponsor and thought-leader to a select number of customers. You will hire and coach your team to prioritize and work with different customer stakeholders up to C-level executives, with the goal of driving usage growth by getting use cases into production faster.

Manage a diverse team of Delivery Solution Architects to achieve customer, company, and team goalsHire, coach, and grow a team of Delivery Solutions Architects for a company in high-growth modeKeep your team ahead of the technical curve. A DSA adds value by maintaining advanced knowledge of the technology stack, and advising customers on the best use of it in their architecture. You will make sure that your team is continuously learning and staying in-line with the other field functions while consistently exceeding their certification goalsAssign accounts and distribute work across individuals for optimal customer coverage and team balanceInspire the team to be customer obsessed by understanding customer goals, their use cases, and Databricks technologyBuild relationships and partner with Sales, SA, SSA, and professional services teams to accelerate customer growthWork with cross-functional teams to reduce customer risk, and help your team with escalations while removing blockersLead team activities to monitor customer progress and forecasted growthProvide input to grow and improve internal processesMaintain a robust hiring pipeline at all timesWhat we look for:
10+ years of successful experience in customer-facing technical GTM role(s)Proven SaaS delivery experience in the areas of Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, ETL, Machine Learning, AI or Data Science.2+ years of experience building and leading technical post-sales teams, including hiring, on-boarding, and enablementTrusted advisor to technical executives that guide strategic data project delivery decisionsLead a team through best practices for architecture discussions and use case go-livesExperience creating project, execution, and customer growth strategy plansProven ability to build and maintain a positive team culture, while driving cross-functional collaboration with supporting adjacent internal teamsExperience in delivery and deployment of workloads into production-
