About the Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join our growing Construction Management team based at our Melbourne CBD head office in a full time and permanent capacity.
This role will be responsible for managing internal and external construction projects for Beon Energy Solutions to ensure that all key deliverables and targets are met. This role will be primarily working on our new Limondale Substation & Bess Project located in Balranald, NSW, .
The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in Construction Management with experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. In addition, this candidate will have strong financial and commercial acumen, well developed leadership & mentoring skills and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
*We are open to considering candidates outside of Melbourne for these roles. However, travel to other work locations including Melbourne and interstate site locations, is an inherent requirement of this role.
What will you deliver?
Effective management and mentoring of Site Managers and Site Supervisors delivering large scale projects involving multidisciplinary teams (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) Provide effective construction management, having overall accountability for the project site, resources and HSE Provide input into the financial management including specific cost control, variation management, accurate month end reporting, project forecasting and scheduling Develop and manage effective customer relationships with key internal and external stakeholders Prepare scope for RFQ’s to engage subcontractors in line with the project scope and specification. Ensure that all work activities are undertaken in accordance with Beon policies, company practices, processes and standards Implement a safe working culture at all levels and ensure all health & safety policies, procedures and practices are adhered to at all times.To be successful in this role you will have:
Current certification and qualification in an Electrical Trade or Construction Management Detailed knowledge of the concepts and principles of construction management Detailed knowledge and experience in the concepts and principles of subcontractor management Detailed knowledge of technical standards, construction practices and OH&S The ability to visualise a completed project before it is built to assess its risks, opportunities, resource requirements and materials required Demonstrable practical application of construction methodology and integration of this into the planning phases of the project.
