About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a pro-active, dynamic and driven individual to join as a Business Development Manager for the UK Packaging – Southern Division. This is a fabulous opportunity within the business so looking for ambitious, customer focused individuals to come and be part of this amazing team
Working across the wider South Sales team and liaising with the other Sales & Account Mangers, you will play an integral part in achieving our ambitious growth aspiration. This is a true Business Development role with the opportunity to manage and grow your accounts as well, so some experience in account management would be required.
As a strong sales professional and a natural ‘people-person’, you will thrive on networking with existing and potential customers to bring in new business across the organisation. Your experience within B2B sales in packaging or allied industries, especially in the UK South West and/or South Wales area, will aid you in building strong working relations with various local customers.
We would like you to develop a sales pipeline and deliver new business volumes across agreed targeted markets and geographical areas, using not only your own knowledge and business acumen, but also using our business intel and our experienced, focussed marketing team. Using all of our business tools and resources; especially the support of our Design and Innovation team, we can ensure we create value for our customers and continue to focus on the circular economy and our sustainability strategy.
You will be home-based but there is a strong focus on travelling to meet customers and teams at our sites – which can cover the area in the South of England.

About you
Proven success, knowledge, and experience in Business Development role within a B2B environment in packaging or allied industries supplying into a range of industries and retail channels A Full driving license A strong ability to work independently & remotely with travel as needed Strong business acumen and negotiation skills with the ability to deal with conflict and challenge both externally and internally Driven to meet sales targets Proven success, knowledge, and experience with pipeline management and sales reporting Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders around the business Ability to deliver dynamic & professional presentationsBenefits
