RetireAustralia is seeking a talented and dedicated cook to join our passionate team at our Tarragal Glen Manor Retirement Village on a casual basis. As our inhouse cook, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional cooking services to our residents, ensuring they enjoy delicious and nutritious meals while adhering to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures.

Roster - 2 Weekdays 9:30am to 6:30pm shift

The Position

Reporting to the Village Manager, you will also be responsible for:

• Assisting in the control and monitoring of stock take, food orders, and costing for an efficient kitchen operation
• Maintaining and managing food handling regulations
• Planning and preparing food for events and special functions within the village
• Ensuring privacy and confidential policies are adhere to strictly and information regarding our residents will only be provided to external parties by management

We’re on the lookout for someone with:

• Availability to work 2 weekdays - 9:30am to 6:30pm shift
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role
• Experience in preparation of nutritionally adequate and appropriate meals specific to a range of special requirements for elderly residents
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/formal Chef/Cook training
• Current Food Handling Certificate
• National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
• First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol Testing
