Service Project Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilities

ABB’s Electrification Service Business is a leading provider of a full range of protection, control and measurement solutions - enabling safer and smarter electricity flow from substation to the point of consumption. We provide Services that Electrify our world, in a Smart, Safe and Sustainable way. We deliver products and systems designed to connect, protect and control electrical assets, ensuring sustainability, reliability, efficiency and safety for the environment, equipment and personnel. You will be exposed to diverse engineering projects and contracts in ABB’s Service Electrification Business in Darra. Reporting to the Projects / Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of these assigned project deliverables. • Providing cost-effective execution of Project Deliverables in accordance with Contract Specifications, Business Models, Quality Standards, Schedule and Safe-ty Requirements. • Supporting both own team and relevant functional departments (Sales, Applica-tions, Operations, Business Support, Field Service) in achieving financial business targets. • Managing and executing all contracts assigned to you with various deliverables, on time and within budget, accurately forecasting business revenue. •Creating and delivering scope-specific work plans and budgets, as well as risk assessments as it pertains to your Engineering Discipline.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5 years or more experience in relevant field
- Design experience of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchboards in line with IEC/AS/NZS Standards (both ABB and non-ABB assets)
- Practical and design / programming experience of protection relays (e.g., ABB Relion Series)
- Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools. CAD and EPLAN knowledge and experience is an added advantage
- Positive, confident and adaptive to a dynamic team, whilst open to constructive feedback and willingness to change behavioral practices and/or suggest improvements to business / tools and process gaps
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn and implement new technologies
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills. Strong Microsoft Office Software knowledge and experience
