The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager Regulation and Policy as the Senior Manager Regulation, Policy & Advocacy you will play an integral, independent role in the identification & anticipation of changes to the Regulatory and Policy Frameworks which will enable the delivery of Transgrid’s Strategy, and advocate for those changes as a leading Transmission Network Service Provider (TNSP) (both National and NSW Frameworks)

You will have a strategic lens and an ability to be flexible and take on challenges with finesse and ease. Problem solving will be second nature which you will always manage with confidentiality and sensitivity in mind. You will be a passionate and driven professional with an ability to build rapport quickly firmly cementing yourself with our internal and external stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

Experience may be in the energy industry, consulting, or the public sector and in specialist policy, regulatory and advisory roles. Knowledge of regulated industries (such as utilities and telecommunications) and the national energy market is critical. Tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, engineering, business. 10-15 years’ experience in economics, public policy, strategy or commercial roles, with technical background well regarded also. At least five years commercial experience is highly advantageous.
