Overview:
Responsible for delivering efficient and prompt receiving, replenishment and despatch functions on the Afternoon Shift at the SA Health Distribution Centre. Effective supervision of a team of storeperson’s to meet agreed key performance indicators and service level agreements for supply of critical inventory items across SA Health. The efficient and effective management and handling of products, predominantly healthcare products, the receipt and put away or picking, and despatch for a high-volume health care distribution centre. Efficient receiving and despatch operations that meet the standards of clients and South Australian Health objectives, including: Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the receiving and checking of deliveries and the despatch of goods to customers. Ensuring accuracy in stock replenishment and picking activities. Maintenance of high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the SA Health Distribution Centre, loading bays and in transport vehicles, pallets and trolleys. Effective running of the 2pm to 10pm shift, working autonomously, providing the delivery of essential operations to ensure continuity of service. Managing Warehouse Management and control systems, diagnosing problems and managing breakdowns. Utilisation of computer systems to ensure accurate reporting and dissemination of work tasks. Leveraging from a high degree of warehousing knowledge to Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement. Ensuring the highest level of workplace Health & Safety, reviewing working procedures and implementing change. Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Experienced with Loading/Unloading operations, with a firm grasp of the Chain of Responsibility. Forklift ability would be an advantage.The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working part-time.
