About the Role 

Reporting to the Drill and Blast Superintendent, the Supervisor - Explosives will be responsible for the coordination of drill and blast activities at Tarrawonga Mine.

What You’ll Do

Liaise with Drill & Blast Superintendent to organise pre-blasting clean up and preparations and ensure patterns are prepared to the required standard. Oversee drilling, loading and firing of shots. Maintain Drill and Blast component of schedule and communicate sequence and requirements to Operations and Tech Services. Liaise with explosive and drilling suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels Develop and maintain plans, designs and blast packs for all shots

What You’ll Bring

OCE ticket or Shot Firer’s certificate (desirable) Experienced in the provision of drilling and blasting activities within an Open Cut mining environment Knowledge of the risk management, safe work practices and statutory requirements required to create and maintain a safe work environment Demonstrated safe and productive management of mine plant and facilities
