We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Head of Health Safety and Wellbeing to join the People and Culture team at Anglicare. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of providing expert leadership to build proactive health, safety and wellbeing practices and culture throughout the organisation.
Drive and influence all levels of the organisation, contractors and external stakeholders to realise the benefits both individually and collectively in embedding resilient HSW practices in how we do business. It's a chance to take full ownership of the continued development, strategy, evolution and implementation of all health, safety and wellbeing policies, procedures and systems to ensure currency, alignment to legislation requirements and continuous improvement to best practice standards. Demonstrate deliverables in HSW key performance indicators identified in the annual performance key result areas.
What's more, you'll be joining our team at a pivotal journey of growth and transformation. We're in the process of implementing new HRIS technology across our people and culture platforms, and you'll have the exciting opportunity to help shape our future.
Key responsibilities include (not limited to):
Develop and implement the Anglicare Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategy that actively targets the collective leadership and culture required to become a generative HSW culture.
Execute achievement by removing roadblocks to innovation and taking accountability to achieve a successful conclusion.
Manage HS &W to meet Anglicare’s financial, contractual, and regulatory requirements and targets.
Measure and evaluate the HS & W performance against better practice, and work collaboratively with operational business units to implement improvements based on this knowledge.
Initiate, lead, and develop strong customer focused partnerships and networks with relevant business units, functional areas, and internal and external stakeholders to understand Anglicare’s objectives and develop plans and strategies that respond to these.
Communicate the desired future for HSW at Anglicare in a style that includes storytelling and positive influence to gain buy-in and belief by all team members that brings about a collective commitment to safety being everyone’s priority.
About You
Outstanding relationship management and consulting skills including the ability to lead consultative processes, engage with senior management, influence, and negotiate at the highest levels.
Demonstrated success in growing individual and team capability and performance and in driving innovation in planning, processes, systems, and work practices.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in HSW change management processes
Excellent report writing and presentation skills
Exceptional copywriting skills for engagement and performance marketing
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or relevant discipline.
Extensive experience in a senior leadership role managing Health, Safety and Wellbeing
Experience working in a high-risk or complex industry is preferred.
