POSITION: Part-Time Elementary Music Teacher .5 – .75
REPORTS TO: Building Principal

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid State of Michigan teaching certificate for elementary music
• Demonstrated ability to work with elementary students in developing knowledge and skills in choral music and introductory instrumental music
• Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create a positive classroom climate for all learners
• Plan and teach lessons that engage and support all learners
• Work collaboratively with a team of teachers
• Plan, rehearse, and direct students in musical programs for the school community
• Attend staff meetings and other professional development as assigned by building administrator

SALARY: Per Education Association Contract
STARTING DATE: August 2024
