With the country depending upon our systems being secure, highly resilient and efficient, you will work within the Bank’s Information Technology (IT) department, and experience the capability-building opportunity to work with Australia’s most critical core banking and payments platforms.

Your team

Opportunity for an experienced senior test analyst to work on the Bank’s core functionality of treasury management system upgrade along with other testers in the team.

You will be part of a cross-functional, mature agile team, with a strong focus on test automation to support delivery of the program. The role requires taking an active part in all test related activities including test planning and execution, test automation, providing testing support and maintaining and improving test processes, tooling and outputs, whilst working in a scrum team.

This is a one year fixed term contract role, with possibility of extension.

Your background

Senior Test analyst with hands-on experience in manual testing, automation testing and QA process in all phases of testing in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate should be a quick learner, understand the existing application and start contributing positively to the project.

To be successful in this critical role you will:

  • Experience in treasury/finance/payment domains is desirable.
  • Previous experience in the agile environment preferably SCRUM is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Jira/ Zephyr application for recording test cases, execution and defect management.
  • Experience in preparing test cases from user stories for systems testing and regression testing.
  • Proficiency with SQL knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience and expertise with Selenium, (and/or) UFT test automation tool is desirable.
  • Good to have API testing and performance testing knowledge using tools like Postman, Jmeter etc.
  • Assist the team by contributing to test planning, work items and acceptance criteria.
  • Experienced on Test strategies and Test Estimates
  • Experienced on Test estimations with high level requirements.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
