This is a permanent part-time (0.38FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2024
Anzac Terrace Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cleaner to join their team. This position is for a morning cleaner to work 5am to 8am each weekday.
As a Cleaner you will carry out both internal and external cleaning duties. Internal cleaning includes the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, cleaning of furniture and fittings, windows, toilets, and dusting. External duties include rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, external windows, verandas and covered areas and cobweb removal. You will also participate in vacation cleaning which includes stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, carpet shampooing, pressure cleaning of undercover areas and verandas, and other such duties as directed by the Cleaner-In-Charge.
The successful applicant will ideally have good attention to detail and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment. You should be organised, reliable and punctual. Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices would be highly desirable.
Anzac Terrace PS offers a comprehensive primary education for children from Kindergarten to Year 6 and is situated at the western end of the Town of Bassendean.
Anzac Terrace PS was established in 1969 and has subsequently received a major upgrade to the administration area, undercover area, art room, pre-primary centres, and music room. It is situated within a lovely garden setting in extensive grounds with mature shade trees and plenty of play areas, including lawns and ovals, basketball, and netball courts, climbing equipment and fitness tracks.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
Ability to read and apply Material Safety Data Sheets, equipment operating instructions, safety instructions and training guidelines. Knowledge of, and ability to, use cleaning equipment including polishers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure cleaners. Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions and work as a member of a team.-
