About the Team
The Procurement and Corporate Services Branch supports various business areas by providing corporate, procurement, and property services. The Procurement team partners with business areas to procure goods and services, ensuring value for money outcomes through the application of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and company policies.

About the Role
The APS5 Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing their workflow and making independent decisions within their area of responsibility. This position provides policy advice based on policies and legislation, and undertakes moderately complex to complex research, analysis, and advice work.

  • Provide administrative support to the Procurement team, handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Offer procurement advice and support to the broader Agency.
  • Ensure compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, company Procurement Policy, and procedures.
  • Assist in tracking value for money outcomes and prepare reports against KPIs.
  • Prepare various procurement-related documentation.
  • Draft correspondence and reports, including emails and letters.
  • Enter, extract, and manipulate data for accurate reporting.
  • Contribute to team and branch planning activities, identifying opportunities for improvement.

About you
To thrive in this role, you need:

  • Procurement experience or a Certificate IV in Procurement.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional document writing experience.
  • Previous experience using finance business systems.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Federal, State, or Local Government.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to remain composed in a changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
