Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to come and join the team at the newly opened Gold Coast office.

With a secure pipeline of projects already in place, this is a fantastic opportunity to come on board as the office continues this upwards growth. 

Supporting key projects in multiple sectors, such as aviation, health and high-rise residential construction projects, this role will perform various quantity surveying functions whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.

This role is responsible for:

Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities Master-plan and feasibility budgets Cost checking of developing design Value engineering Tender evaluations and analysis Contract negotiations Cash flow projects Procurement Cost reporting Evaluation of variations Valuations Final account reporting Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims Investment analysis Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans

Qualifications

We would love to hear from you if you have:

Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management  Full Australian working rights and currently located in Australia RICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regarded Proficient in the use of Cost X  Ability to produce both top down and bottom up cost plans A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception, through to completion and post-project review Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissions
