Due to continued growth, we are currently looking for driven Block/Bricklayers who aspire to be part of a respectful and high performing team.

You will be joining our team where you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects across Southeast Queensland. We work on different types of projects in a diverse range of industries, so the work is always varied.

McNab also has several career pathways available for those that are looking to build a career in Construction. Several our most senior leaders at McNab started hands on, on the ground running and worked their way up to become Foreman, Site Managers, Project Managers and Construction Managers. We are all about opportunities and growth

Duties:

  • General varied block and brick laying duties will be required across all projects as no project is the same
  • Lay bricks, blocks, or other masonry units according to plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Prepare foundations for masonry work, ensuring proper alignment and levelling.
  • Apply mortar between bricks or blocks, ensuring proper bonding and alignment.
  • Ability to work with varying materials and products.
  • Operation of hand and power tools and hire equipment.
  • Following safety protocols and procedures on all job sites.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

What we are looking for:

  • Experienced Block/ Bricklayers who hold a Cert III in Brick and Block laying.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and confident individuals.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transport, as travel is required throughout the region.
  • Construction White Card or the ability to obtain.
  • Strong attention to detail and take pride in the work you deliver.
  • Driven in progressing your career further – we are always looking for the future leaders of McNab
