For this role, you will assist in providing administration support to the Manager, Director and Executive of the team; along with contributing to the effective and efficient operation of the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE) including records management, admin and executive duties, copy editing, coordination of briefing and meeting documentation. Based the in Adelaide City, this is a 100% onsite contract commencing asap for a duration of four months with a possible extension.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Manage competing demands, using high level organisational skills, with an ability to multitask, whilst considering future business needs.
  • Provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Chief Executive, Deputy Director, Manager, and members of the OCE team as required and ensures information is communicated in an accurate and timely way.
  • Contribute to the ongoing management of correspondence through receipt, registration, processing, dispatch, follow up, filing and ongoing management of records and associated systems.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, and business applications (e.g. KNet, Basware, Bizflow and Promaster).
  • Actively participates as a member of the team to manage heavy workloads, tight timeframes and achieve high level objectives.
  • Supporting and/or contributing to the development and implementation of relevant and effective strategies, policies, and procedures to meet the goals and objectives of the OCE.

Job Requirements:

  • Admin and Business Support experience (highly desirable in Government) in a fast pace environment
  • Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support services in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Professional communication approach, holding a high standard of written and verbal communication styles. Maintaining a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Embraces change by being flexible in managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to establish credibility and good working relationships with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently perform high volumes of work with close attention to accuracy and detail, and at times under limited direction.
  • Utilises technology through a solid understanding of Microsoft software applications and is willing to learn new tools to improve role effectiveness.
  • Demonstrates an enthusiastic mindset and willing to be a team player to build knowledge across the Department and skill set.
  • Must have the rights to work in Australia and be willing to undertake a Criminal History Check
