MARS Recruitment are seeking a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to work with our client in Warners Bay, NSW. This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis. 0.8FTE.

Location: Preference is their Warners Bayclinic, however there may be options for this practitioner to join their alternative clinics aross NSW.
Salary: Up to $115,00K per annum
Caseload: Primary - Youth & Adolescents

This organisation has operating in the Central Coast region since 2016, and due to continued growth and service expansion, they are seeking an amazing Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join their team

This is a team operated by allied health and mental health professionals and in this role, you will become an essential part of a dedicated, experienced and friendly team of clinicians that provide an innovative service that shines a light on the youth and well-being of children, youth and adults to enable them to be everything they can be.

About the role:
Join a team committed to assisting a diverse range of youth, adolescents and adults with various diagnoses and presentations. This role offers the chance to grow your career within a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team, helping clients improve their overall mental health and well-being.

You will be supported by your clinical team leader and work in an interdisciplinary environment alongside dedicated occupational therapists, psychologists, counsellors, mental health practitioners and other positive behaviour support practitioners.

Duties:

  • Work closely with other professionals, such as psychologists, social workers, educators & allied health clinicians to coordinate care and support for clients.
  • Administer assessments to evaluate behavioral patterns and challenges faced by clients.
  • Design individualised behaviour support plans based on assessments, client history, and goals.
  • Utilise evidence-based behavioral interventions to address challenging behaviors and promote positive alternatives.
  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA).
  • Provide training and education to stakeholders.
  • Review and reduce restrictive practices in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission guidelines.
  • Collect data regularly and monitor participant progress.

What we need from you:

  • To bring a inimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Confirmation of current suitability by NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission at Proficient, Advanced, or Specialist level.
  • Previous experience in the disability sector or within NDIS.
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Allied Health, or related field with current registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or other disabilities exhibiting significant challenging behaviors.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children's Check.
  • Current Police Clearance.
  • Possession of a valid Australian driver's license.
