We have a great new career opportunity for an Operational Risk Advisor. Reporting to the Manager, Operational Risk, this role is pivotal in providing risk management advice, support, assurance and challenge to the respective portfolios, such as the Everyday Banking Portfolio.
This is a unique opportunity to redefine risk management paradigms across Bank CFO and Everyday Banking Portfolios , contributing to a future where your professional acumen shapes success in a dynamically evolving landscape.
What you’ll do
Drive continuous enhancement and implementation of cutting-edge risk management frameworks and systems, aligning with industry best practicesDevelop, uplift and embed the risk program's supporting policies, governance structures, reporting frameworks, and operating modelsActively engage in program operational riskreviews, providing constructive feedback and challenge to ensure optimal outcomesStay ahead of industry and regulatory developments, contributing to the identification and mitigation of risks across the BankCollaborate with Bank and program stakeholders to employ a consistent approach in identifying, assessing, and mitigating riskEnsure timely escalation of material adverse matters, systemic issues, or inactions to the Risk Manager for swift resolutionProactively lead and coach the Bank's teams, elevating their capabilities in risk management framework and methodology, thereby enhancing the organization's overall risk identification and management skillsWhat you’ll bring
Degree in a business or risk-related discipline (desired)Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded5+ years of operational or financial risk management experience in bankingProven experience in managing multiple stakeholders, including senior managementCoordination expertise in key programs or projectsProficiency in balancing compliance requirements with commercial realities, budgetary constraints, and business goalsAdvanced Analytical & Reporting skillsStrong understanding of risk and compliance management, governance concepts, and industry regulations impacting financial servicesWhat we can offer
