What you'll do

Actively contribute to projects within the Risk Function, leveraging your expertise to drive continuous improvement Aid business units in developing specialized event plans that identify, mitigate, and respond to potential threats and risks, ensuring continued operations during critical events such as CHOGM, APEC, G20 Summit, etc Assist business units in crafting and maintaining robust business continuity plans in alignment with approved operational resilience strategies Collaborate as a trusted advisor with business units, offering expert advice and guidance on business continuity management. Advocate for the advancement of operational resilience maturity Collaborate on disaster recovery capabilities to ensure seamless alignment with business continuity requirements Collaborate with Suncorp's Incident Management Teams to provide vital support during business interruption responses Contribute to the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of Suncorp's Business Continuity policy, standards, and tools Develop and maintain a comprehensive business continuity training and awareness program, equipping staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate their roles effectively during disruptions Provide valuable insights and reporting on the currency and efficacy of business continuity management. This includes the status of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), testing completeness, and training accomplishments Represent the Risk Function as a key stakeholder in strategic initiatives and change opportunities

A positive, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude that aligns with Suncorp's values A track record of effectively engaging with senior management and influencing positive outcomes An intricate understanding of business continuity management practices, along with a keen interest in staying current with industry best practices in operational resilience Exceptional interpersonal skills, empowering you to skilfully negotiate and influence stakeholders at various levels In-depth knowledge of operational resilience and its evolving trends Over 3 years of experience in business continuity management, showcasing your depth of knowledge and hands-on skills Proficiency in interpreting and applying legislative and regulatory requirements in a pragmatic manner Sound knowledge of finance, insurance, compliance, and operational risk realms Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to convey complex ideas effectively
