Job Description

Your Opportunity:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of guest movements and lobby activities.
  • Act as a point of contact for guests, handling inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and discretion.
  • Supervise and support Front Office, Guest Service and Concierge in their daily duties, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments to address guest needs promptly and ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Assist in managing inventory, including room allocations, reservations, and amenities, to optimize occupancy and revenue.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to maintain cleanliness, safety, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Assist in training and development initiatives for front office, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to implement policies, procedures, and initiatives aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction and employee engagement.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Front Office supervisory role, preferably in a luxury hotel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • The innate ability to remain calm under pressure and when responding to emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in property management systems and Front Office software, Opera Cloud advantageous.
  • Hold a valid QLD RSA (or the ability to obtain)
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
