The Opportunity
We have an excellent opportunity for two Legal Counsels based in North Sydney, working with our Corporate Legal team on a permanent basis. These newly created roles will support our team with the delivery of expert legal services on iconic construction projects, across Australia.
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Provide commercially relevant advice to our bid teams in the formation, review and closing of contracts for large scale projects.
- Drafting and developing tender qualifications that address project risks.
- Support the resolution of contractual issues that arise on projects during delivery.
- Negotiating contract amendments with clients, joint venture partners and external lawyers.
Our Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years PQE with a strong focus on front end construction contracts work.
- Bachelor of Law (LLB or equivalent)
- Qualified to practice as a solicitor in an Australian jurisdiction - holding a current practising certificate
- In-depth understanding of the legal aspects of construction projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
