About the role:

Join a leading education provider in a rewarding opportunity as the Director Quality, Compliance and Risk.

As the Director Quality, Compliance and Risk you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and safeguarding organisational integrity through Box Hill Institute’s quality, compliance and risk management frameworks.  

This position is tasked with embedding effective and integrated practices across quality, compliance and risk management.  With dynamic and strategic leadership, this role will promote an organisational culture that maintains the highest possible standards in these areas. This is achieved through strengthening and expanding quality management, compliance and risk management capabilities across the organisation to enable delivery of strategic goals.

You will lead an experienced Quality, Compliance and Risk team. You will role model the BHI values, develop capabilities and create a culture that empowers your team. The team is primarily responsible for quality management, documents and records management, risk management and compliance with BHI’s policies and procedures, government regulations and legislation. The team provides high quality advice, support and reporting to the BHI Board, executives, managers and employees as well as government stakeholders.

About You:

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • A degree and/or a post graduate qualification relating to quality, compliance, audit and risk with experience in a similar role as well as extensive experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Training or qualifications in ISO 9001(Quality Management System) and/or 31000 (Risk Management) accreditation and internal audit qualifications would be well regarded.
  • Demonstrated, extensive experience in quality management and compliance systems, audit practices, internal control and risk management in a public sector environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of government and public administration operations, protocol, and reporting requirements.
  • High-quality decision making skills for complex situations.
  • A customer centricity approach.
  • Demonstrated team leadership; building effective teams, develops capability, promotes safety and aligns team to organisational values and strategies.
