HOPE has been a community service in Western Australia for over a century, providing much needed support to people affected by alcohol and other drugs, mental ill-health, youth justice issues and socioeconomic disadvantage. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join the GCADS team The position is full time, working Monday to Friday.

About the Opportunity 

The Receptionist is responsible for all general reception duties in the Goldfields Community Alcohol and Drug Services office and providing administration support to the Manager, Goldfields Services and Counsellors. 

Requirements of the Role: 

  • Provide a friendly and welcoming reception service to young people, and their family, friends, and carers. 
  • Provide assistance with events. 
  • Answer telephone calls and direct to the appropriate staff member. 
  • Prepare client files. 
  • Collect, record and distribute mail. 
  • Receive, redirect, and respond to emails. 
  • Purchase stationery, photocopier supplies and sundries, and ensure there is sufficient stock. 
  • Data entry. 
  • Prepare documents including filing, faxing, photocopying, binding, laminating, and shredding. 
  • Assist with preparation for meetings and any follow-up.  

About you:

  • Minimum schooling: Year 10 certificate. 
  • Demonstrated strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent administrative and computer skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. 
  • Confidence in managing difficult situations. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Current knowledge of and commitment to Equal Opportunity in all aspects of employment and service delivery. 
  • Prior experience of working in a youth and or/mental health/ counselling service 
  • Prior experience working in an administrative role. 

Appointments will be subject to Australian residency/visa, satisfactory National Police check (within 3 months), Working With Children card, Current C or A class driver's license, First Aid Certificate, and suitable work referees.
