About the role

An opportunity has arisen in our Perth office for a Career Paralegal to join our Government team on a permanent, full-time basis. Whilst the primary focus of the work is on NDIA and merits review matters, the team also handle claims for compensation in the Federal jurisdiction. In this supportive and friendly team, you will play an integral part in assisting to progress matters, whilst receiving ongoing mentoring from a Partner, a Special Counsel, and the broader team members.

This busy role will include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Preparing chronologies
  • Collating briefs to Counsel
  • Preparation of court documents
  • Preparation of mediation bundles and document indexes
  • Preparation of medical authorities and follow up of records
  • Legal Research and legal summaries
  • Discovery
  • Document analysis
  • Compilation of enclosures
  • Drafting letters of instruction
  • Responding to enquiries
  • General administrative duties

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Paralegal who is looking for a long-term and stable position in a supportive and friendly environment. Ideally, you will have experience in litigation, and be excited at the prospect of taking a hands-on approach to assisting our lawyers in managing their matters. We’re looking for someone who values client care, and being part of a collaborative team. Some of the other qualities we are seeking include:
