We're hiring for Architectural Draftsperson; General Clerk and Glazier/Aluminium Fabricator

Architectural Draftsperson

Job Responsibilities and Description:

  • Prepare fabrication drawing.
  • operate computer-aided drafting equipment or conventional drafting station to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records
  • Study the documents and plans
  • Coordinate the Aluminium Fabricators
  • Obtaining all relevant information to provide estimated quotes. This includes architectural drawings, energy report, acoustic report, window loading, bushfire rating
  • Consult with customers to discuss their project requirements via telephone and showroom
  • Completing all sales & production estimating requirements
  • Resolving ordering oversights and making amendments as require

  • some artistic talent in freehand drawing.

Accounts Clerk

About this role:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, confident, and vibrant Accounts Clerk to join our team on a fulltime basis. If you possess relevant experience with excellent time management then this may be an exciting opportunity for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for assisting with both clerical and administrative tasks.
  • Take care of basic office tasks that involve reporting, bookkeeping, research, as well as the resolution of discrepancies related to any of the tasks.

Job Description:

  • Provide administrative support regarding the day to day running of the business. This includes answering incoming calls from clients, managing the business email inbox and being responsible for actioning and following through with client requests.
  • Manage and be responsible for completing the daily invoicing of jobs at the business. This includes interpreting the job sheet, building the invoice and sending all required documents and invoice.
  • Ensure that all invoicing is up to date.
  • Ensure that all information recorded on the job sheet is correct and complete to allow for correct invoicing
  • Any other duties as required

Glazier/Aluminium Fabricator

About this role

We’re looking for a Full-Time Glazier/Aluminium Fabricator to join our team in our workshop in Winnellie and various worksite around the Territory. You will work up to 38 hours a week with annual salary of $55,328.00, Monday to Friday with some overtime available depending on the workload.

This position requires the applicant to have knowledge, hands on skills and leadership qualities to ensure all jobs are done on time and in full.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut and install heavy shower glass, window glass and mirrors
  • Track inventory and order supplies before stock runs out
  • Regularly inspect assigned equipment and perform maintenance as needed
  • Communicate professionally with customers

Job Description:

  • Interpreting blueprints to determine the shape, size, color and thickness of glass and aluminium extrusions for installation procedures.
  • Measuring and marking lines or patterns on glass before cutting.
  • Cutting glass and aluminium extrusions to size and specifications in the workshop and on the job site.
  • Measuring, cutting, and fitting anti-glare film to glass if required.
  • Loading glass, mirror fittings and aluminium frames onto delivery trucks for transport to job site.
  • Driving trucks to job sites and unloading glass and materials.
  • Fabricating and installing mouldings for glass installation.
  • Cutting and removing broken glass prior to new installation.
  • Operating hoists or cranes with suction cups to lift heavy glass and aluminium units.
  • Cleaning the job area once windows and doors has been installed and the client is satisfied

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous glass installation & aluminium fabrication experience
  • An understanding of the commercial aluminium window and door fabricating industry
  • Ability to read and work off plans and shop drawings
  • Previous experience in the use of tools such as saws, drills, routers and punches
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Enjoy working in a team
  • Exceptional work ethic and organisational skills
  • Drivers Licence required
