Home Care Worker

• Part time permanent positions available 
• 3-4 days per week, between 9am-5:00pm 
• $29.94 to $34.76 per hour+ $0.99 per km and travel time

What you’ll be doing in this role:

In this role, you’ll provide care and companionship for older people living in their own homes, to help empower their independence and improve their quality of life in Berrigan & Surrounding areas. You’ll be required to travel to client’s homes and communities, using your own car.

Key Responsibilities:

• Home Assistance: Housekeeping, grocery shopping and meal preparation 
• Personal care: Assisting with personal care, showering, dressing, mealtime support and medication administration. 
• Transport: Providing transport for appointments, shopping trips, and social support activities. 

Who we’re looking for:

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent. If you're not currently qualified, we can help you get there 
• Provisional or full Australian driver's license and access to a full comprehensively insured vehicle. 
• Previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care.
• Flexible and prepared to help meet the changing needs and schedules of our home care clients.
• Empathetic and resourceful and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
