The Role

Reporting to the Technology Operations Manager and based in Darra, the Technology Project Manager will be responsible for all stages of the project delivery from sales handover to the end of the DLP period. You could be responsible for a range of project types including BMS controls upgrades and retrofits, small BMS fit outs, ICN and other smart building services projects,  tier 1 greenfield BMS projects and complex integrated building platforms.

Some of the key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Full ownership for all project phases (requirements clarification, design development, procurement & manufacture, FAT, delivery, installation, test & verification)
  • Lead, monitor, control the project throughout the project life cycle
  • Coordinates assigned resources and report on their progress through regular project reviews and standardized processes
  • Prepare formal construction correspondence
  • Plan and monitor project execution via a project Gantt chart
  • Manage the budget and forecast costs
  • Adheres to PM and engineering processes and company templates
  • Develop strong customer relationships and reflect on feedback
  • Provide timely reporting of project status against project targets

What makes you stand out

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate their experience in a similar role within the building services industry while possessing the following attributes:

  • Proven Project Management experience in the construction industry.
  • Tertiary or trade qualification in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Systems, or similar
  • Formal Project Management training
  • Ability to effectively read and interpret drawings, specifications and contract documentation
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and reporting
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to develop and mentor a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent Team player as well as able to work independently.
  • Highly proficient in all MS Office applications, especially MS Project
  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Construction Induction - White card 
  • Project management certification will be an added advantage
