The Role

Reporting to the General Manager - Australian Branches and based in Darra, theNational Service Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the service operational function of the Service Division across Australia, ensuring the highest levels of customer service and operational excellence are delivered.

Some of the key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Support Service and Account Management teams
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services by setting clear expectations, providing regular training and feedback, and establishing monitoring processes
  • Assist in the development and management of budgets for each of the service locations
  • Analyse financial performance and assist with forecasting for service expenses
  • Promote a culture of safety, identify potential hazards, develop and implement safety protocols and foster a culture of accountability for safety

We are looking for a candidate who will demonstrate their experience in a similar role, has an understanding of the challenges of working in a dynamic and fast-growing business, and the following attributes:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Service Manager, Operations Manager, or similar
  • Strong understanding of P&L of a service-based business
  • Proactive approach and ability to provide hands on assistance to Branch Managers, Service Managers and Customer Account Managers for mobilisation, strategy, growth and retention of new and existing clients
  • Leadership, particularly with respect to value adding, safety and customer service
  • The ability to travel to different branches to provide support as required
  • Competent project management skills
  • Desirable - experience working on large accounts across multiple branches and/or states
  • Desirable - direct to client project experience
