This is a full-time permanent position commencing Term 3, 2024

Cape Naturaliste College are seeking motivated, dedicated Mathematics – Teachers to join their friendly school.

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing a safe, rewarding and supportive learning environment for all students. Working in collaboration with other staff, they will ideally have a strong understanding and working knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum – including how to plan, deliver and assess engaging and relevant units of work relating to Mathematics. They will be able to apply this whilst teaching students of varying ability levels across Years 7 to 12 in a highly engaging manner.

The successful applicant will ideally have the knowledge and skills necessary to apply a range of effective teaching strategies, while fostering a positive classroom learning environment. They will ideally be able to provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful learning experiences. The learning environment they create will ideally be differentiated, challenging, caring and creative, while catering for a range of needs that ensures all students are progressing and achieving. The ability to utilise evidence-based teaching practices whilst employing a range of assessment and reporting methods will be highly regarded.

About the school

Cape Naturaliste College (CNC) was established in 2008 after extensive consultation with our community. This strong community involvement continues to this day. The College began its journey with a strong belief in the value of teamwork and collaboration and this is now embedded in our school ethos. Over time, a visibly strong sense of belonging and pride in our College has grown. We have fostered significant expansion to the breadth and sophistication of our College facilities and culture, along with it’s ceremonies, extra-curricular activities, musical and sporting events.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
