Upper Ground by Hudson is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who will play a crucial role in a collaborative team environment, working alongside data analysts, Data Engineers, and subject matter experts in systems and policy. The primary focus will be to document current state processes, analyze and identify business pain points, and develop optimized future state business requirements documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define problems, articulate business and technical requirements, and assess the impacts of proposed changes.
  • Requirements Management: Proactively manage, prioritize, and document business requirements along with requirements traceability to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive business intelligence and data analysis to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Tool Proficiency: Utilize Snowflake and Tableau to interrogate existing business intelligence assets, assessing their ability to meet defined business requirements. Experience with both platforms is essential.
  • Dashboard Development: Create and refine interactive business intelligence dashboards in Tableau that effectively visualize data and insights.
  • Documentation: Plan and document the approach for business and stakeholder analysis, business intelligence activities, and problem statements to provide clarity and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Progress Reporting: Deliver weekly executive progress reports to keep stakeholders informed of developments and project status.
  • Gap Identification: Work closely with Data Engineers to identify and articulate any intelligence gaps that need to be addressed to meet the business requirements fully.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business intelligence and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake and Tableau is a must.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders across various sectors.
  • Experience in both public and private sectors is highly desirable.
  • Ability to document and prioritize business requirements clearly and concisely.
